So what can we offer you during your stay?

All activities are run by our own full time qualified instructors and we cater for all levels of experience.


All technical equipment is provided for each activity.


Surfing Why not try catching some waves at our local sandy surf beach only 1.5 miles away. Full wetsuits and surfboards are provided to have a whale of a time in the ocean!


Kayaking or Canoeing takes place on a placid river, a local harbour or in a beautiful bay. More experienced groups may venture along the coast or even try kayak surfing.


Coastal rock climbing and abseiling in a superb setting. You can also explore the gullies and caves of Baggy point with our 'Rock scrambling'.


Mountain biking in the local area can take place along the local coast path and dirt tracks or be a trip to the ice cream shop! More adventurous groups can venture onto Exmoor.


Archery is available on site and is often coupled together with fencing.


Coasteering is an ever more popular adventure activity – It's a mix of rock scrambling, sea swimming, jumping into checked out locations and just having fun on the coast!  


Ringo or Inflatable rides are a fantastic way to having all the thrills without the skills! The excitement of skipping over the water behind a Powerboat is accessible to all. For older groups with more time; Water Skiing can be a rewarding option (available May-September).


Powerboat rides operated on our local estuary -  the thrill of a Powerboat ride gets the wind in your hair!


Fencing takes place at the centre and uses the Go Fence framework which is a great introduction to fencing. This activity can be doubled up with archery.


Orienteering: Armed with a compass and some clues, your task is to navigate around a stunning headland and discover the cryptic code. A great DIY activity or led by SGH staff.


Mission Impossible is our Team Initiative Day designed specifically for school teenage groups where small teams are set multiple challenges whilst navigating their way and cooking their own food. A real team builder and learning day. Whole days activity.


Field Studies: Come and enjoy exploring the vast range of habitats in the local area. From Rockpooling and Woodland activities with younger children through to A-Level Field work.


Team Survivor is a light hearted activity set up for small teams to have fun tackling team games whilst completing a shelter building task out on Braunton Burrows sand dune system (summer only)
