A week full of revision techniques,
dedicated revision time and activities
On the Active Revision 2012 course the mornings will be spent under supervision, looking at revision techniques and putting these ideas into practise on your coursework. There will be an element of friendly pressure upon you to study.
In the afternoon we shall be getting out and about. You will have the chance to enjoy many activities such as surfing, canoeing, mountain biking, climbing, abseiling and archery, weather permitting. There are some beautiful places to go walking. None of the activities require previous experience and all take place under the instruction of our qualified and very experienced staff.
During the course of the evening there will be the opportunity for more work.
We shall also have a short meeting discussing the importance of a faith in God based on Christ and relaxing by playing games and watching a few DVDs. Sleeping accommodation is in small dormitories.
So if revision is a struggle for you come and get the balance right at St.George’s House with a combination of hard work and the excitement of challenging outdoor pursuits in an enjoyable and friendly Christian atmosphere.
Applicants are expected to be year eleven or above, and numbers will be limited to allow for a studious atmosphere.
Cost: £240 which includes VAT, full board, and activities.
Travel: All public transport can be met at Barnstaple on its arrival, if arranged beforehand. Please contact us if you would like assistance or advice with sorting this out.
