What can you expect from your week at
St George’s House?
Well, mornings will be spent revising under supervision, looking at
revision techniques and putting these methods into practice. There will be an element of friendly pressure and encouragement put upon you to study.
In the afternoon we shall be getting out and about and letting off steam.
You will have the chance to enjoy activities such as surfing, canoeing, mountain biking, climbing, abseiling, coasteering and archery. None of the activities require previous experience and all take place under the instruction of our qualified and very experienced staff.
During the course of the evening we will do a planning and recap session to consolidate your revision. We shall also have a short, Christian based meeting discussing the importance and relevance of faith in the world today. The rest of the evening will be spent relaxing and playing games. Then it is off to bed where the sleeping accommodation is in small dormitories.

right at St. George’s House with a combination of hard work
and challenging but exciting outdoor pursuits in a friendly Christian atmosphere.
Applicants are expected to be school years eleven to thirteen whilst attending, and numbers will be limited to allow for a studious atmosphere.

Travel: Please organise your own transport to the House or Barnstaple train/bus station where one of our staff will shuttle you to the house.
